I found a couple clumps of Common Fleabane (Erigeron philadelphicus) growing in a wildlife food plot behind our barn.
Also know as Philadelphia Fleabane, this small member of the aster (Asteraceae) family is native to North America and has flowerheads that are 1/2 to 3/4 inch across, with 100 or more pink to white thread-like ray flowers (petals) and a yellow center disk.
The flowers are just larger than a honey bee.
