Staying Cool

The neighborhood weather has made a big shift in the last couple of days. On Sunday we had snowflakes falling and today the temperature was over 86F. The whitetail deer haven't shed their warm winter coats yet and some of our neighborhood deer were using the shade of our cabin to cool off. The deer were on the north side of our cabin, and with today's brisk wind from the south, the deer would get a nice breeze from the wind blowing under the cabin.

This young deer had enough of me taking picture and decided to leave.

The two remaining deer decided to stay where it was cooler.
